4 Wheelin'
New Years Day, 2005
How else to start the year, then with some wheelin'. And, can you believe this weather. Not too often we can take the doors off and run around in T-shirts in January. So, let's make the best of it.
Unfortunately, this year the theme seems to be carnage. Here Terri
starts us out with a broken drive shaft and rear xfer case output. Ouch, that one's
gonna hurt...

And what's this, looks like Steve is getting to play in Kenny's revamped
buggy.

Larry's' out wheelin' AGAIN. Wow, that makes like two in a row....
[ he he, got ya... ;) ]

Here 'scuba' Steve is out in the BIG Cherokee!
Hey look, another victim claimed by the 'hole'....

And of course I get to play some too.
Personally, I don't see the fascination with four wheels, when two is really all ya need..

Looks like Ken is breaking in some new passengers on the clay hills.

And then it's Wes's turn through.

Ok, Larry is the last. See how much fun we can have with just a
ditch....

Speaking of carnage, looks like Ken gets to start the year out with some
rock side repair work.
We got some down time at the moment, and it looks like Deana is chillin'
on a rock while Wes get to play around with a new camera.

Some of you might also recall that Tolly had a competition scheduled for
New Year's day. Looks like a great turn-out, so I hung around and took a few
pictures..

And I'd say Steve got volunteered to play spotter for Kenny.

John was the first to start the Unlimited course.
Isn't there some kind of rule that you can't use the cones for
traction!....

Then, Kenny was second. He pretty much walked thru with ease.

What goes up, must come down. And this one made a serious crashing
sound as the front drive shaft did not survive the landing. Rear drive only, won't
even get ya out of the water, no matter how much skinny peddle ya use.

And Here Russ takes the 'Bus' thru the course. Although the longer
wheelbase becomes a hindrance on the last boulder.

Not to be out done, we've got one more launching over the rocks!
However, he manages to make it over the top and thru the course.

One more unlimited truck before we move on to course two.

Ok, on to the wheelin'. Coool...

Everything is going well on Russ's second run, until those last two
boulders.

With one wheel firmly wedged, the portal box proceeds to disintegrate.
Did you know that when the portal box craps, the wheel falls off?
Impressive!..

A nice little static shot of Kenny's buggy before he walks his way
through the last course.

Then everything is finished up with a good run from John.

Well, that gets another year started out right.
There's a lot more to come. So get those trucks patched up and ready to play...
See ya next trip!
